In October of 2013 - 4th Street Arts called a wrap on our signature event the 4th Street Art & Music Festival.  After ten wonderful years the event had run it’s course and it was time to move on.  On that day we posted that it was “time to go away and dream it all up again.”

Today, June 24th 2016 – We are so proud to announce the creation of “CATHEDRAL HALL” - our new dream, a not for profit venue space, soon to be reality.

We have received the most amazing opportunity of taking over the building once known as St Bridget’s Church located at the corner of 380 Montgomery & Brunswick Streets here in Downtown Jersey City.

We are currently booking the magnificent 20,000 square foot event space for September and October.  Slated to open on JC Fridays on September 9th.

Contact 4thStreetArts@gmail.com for inquiries about viewing the space and booking.

This project is made possible through the generosity of BGT Enterprises.  We cannot express enough gratitude to Ben Torrei for his contribution to the support of the Arts in Downtown Jersey City.

Our driving force will be focused on a passage we found in the St. Bridgets 125th Anniversary Booklet.  This passage states…

“May God continue to use St Bridget’s as a vehicle of grace to the people of Jersey City for years to come.”

We intend to do our part to make that happen.

Since 2000 the Community Garden has been located on Brunswick Street next to the Sixth Street Historic Railroad Embankment in Jersey City, NJ. Part of the city’s Adopt-A-Lot program. A wonderful community asset, dedicated to maintaining an open green space in an urban environment.  Supporting all aspects of community food, urban forestry and ornamental gardening. Thanks to a lot of hard work and sweat by garden members, the lot has blossomed into a flowering, food-producing focal point of pride for the entire neighborhood.

The Village Neighborhood Association is dedicated to serving The Village area of Downtown Jersey City. It’s goals are to increase public safety, promote the arts, and foster awareness of the historical past of The Village for its residents, and to the city of Jersey City as a whole. To provide residents a forum to express ideas, and to share those ideas with the community. To better the quality of life for all residents of The Village through communication and action.

4th Street Arts, Inc. is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization based in Jersey City. We are committed to contributing to the local arts community. In addition to supporting events throughout the year, 4th Street Arts produced the 4th Street Art & Music Festival - a free community event founded in 2004, held in conjunction with the Jersey City Artists Studio Tour. This popular event continued for 10 years through 2013. Our not-for-profit group has devoted itself to the growth of our artist community, and in doing such, will present an annual scholarship to local youth, for the purposes of art and music education and advancement.
